Eye On The Arts

Toronto International Art Fair

Each year, the vibrant Toronto International Art Fair (TIAF) attracts scores of artists and art enthusiasts from around the world to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Elegant and easily navigable, this five-day event provides a stimulating atmosphere for both burgeoning and seasoned collectors to procure distinctive, modern artworks. In addition to facilitating acquisition, TIAF hosts a variety of unique educational and cultural programs. The fair’s inspiring Fresh Avant-Garde section showcases edgy and challenging works by emerging national and international artists, while the impressive News at Five feature unveils a new project exhibition – from installation to completion – each day at 5 p.m. sharp. As a dynamic crossroads for artist, curators, and collectors from across the globe, the TIAF motivates an international dialogue on contemporary culture while providing invaluable exposure for Canada’s robust art scene. The 2008 Toronto International Art Fair will take place October 2-6.
